My mother and I used to argue about logic/reason, and she said one time no one has ever come to faith through reason. I pointed out CS Lewis to her at the time, but I’ve also known since then scientists like you that see an order in the universe that’s inexplicable without a Creator, and that leads them ultimately to Jesus. I appreciate this, as a logical person myself and also someone with a couple of children that are very logical/analytical.

It's true that you can't logic someone out of / into an emotional belief. If someone is an atheist for mostly emotional reasons, you'll need to primarily engage them with rhetoric.

Logic and reason were a huge part of my conversion, but my history is a bit unique and I'm somewhat neurodivergent. Still, I think the role logic and reason can play in converting people is an important one. People who are more likely to be emotionally swayed still want to know that there is a rational basis for what they believe.

Reason 11 - He chose you. :) But seriously - I'm slowly learning that logic is only the beginning of understanding God and growing closer to Him.

I love hearing how grace infiltrates lives, like it was crafted for each one of us. To the scientist, reason. Beautiful!
