I was raised atheist in a secular country. I’m a trained PhD scientist. By the conventional narrative, I should still be an atheist, but I’m not.
I converted to Christianity, because…
Logic dictates a transcendent, timeless, non-material God is real.
The greatest possible God is the God of the Bible.
The evidence supports that the Bible is the inspired word of God.
The evidence supports that Jesus Christ is a real person.
Logic and evidence support that Jesus Christ is who he says he is.
God is the best objective standard for morality.
Christianity has been a powerful force for societal good in the world.
Christianity has been a powerful force for good in individual lives.
Credible near-death experiences support the existence of God and Jesus Christ in heaven.
Credible out-of-body experiences support the existence of a non-material realm.
I plan to write individual articles for each of these points. But if you ever wondered what could convince at least one scientist that Christianity is true, this is it.
My mother and I used to argue about logic/reason, and she said one time no one has ever come to faith through reason. I pointed out CS Lewis to her at the time, but I’ve also known since then scientists like you that see an order in the universe that’s inexplicable without a Creator, and that leads them ultimately to Jesus. I appreciate this, as a logical person myself and also someone with a couple of children that are very logical/analytical.
Love the logic
